My Life and Death Are for Allah
Allah (SWT) teaches us to say:
قُلْ إِنَّ صَلَاتِى وَنُسُكِى وَمَحْيَاىَ وَمَمَاتِى لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
"Say, 'Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds.'" (Surah Al-An'am 6:162)
The Prophet (SAW) said, "If anyone loves for Allah's sake, hates for Allah's sake, gives for Allah's sake, and withholds for Allah's sake, he will have perfect faith." (Sunan Abu Dawud 4681) That single principle, doing everything for Allah's (SWT) sake, sums up the whole of sincerity.
A Closing Word
Public praise fades, and public criticism, however sharp, does not have the final word either. What lasts is what Allah (SWT) records, and He is Al-Ghafur, Ar-Rahim, the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful, to every heart that turns back to Him sincerely.
May Allah (SWT) grant our students guidance, piety, and contentment, and may every one of their efforts be written purely for His sake. Ameen.
