About DSQA

Our Story

Darus Saulieghien Quraan Academy was established in 2018 with a vision to provide authentic Islamic education to the children of Mitchell's Plain and surrounding communities. What began as a small gathering of 20 students has grown steadily - driven almost entirely by word of mouth. Today, over 90% of our students come through parent referrals, a testament to the trust families place in us.

We are located in the heart of Portlands, Mitchell's Plain, Cape Town. Our name - Darus Saulieghien - means "The Abode of the Righteous", reflecting our aspiration for every student who passes through our doors.

Our Mission

To provide an authentic Islamic education rooted in the Quran and Sunnah, equipping students with spiritual, moral, and academic tools to navigate life with purpose, integrity, and service to their community.

Our Vision

A community of students who embody the Quran - who carry its words in their hearts, its character in their actions, and its light in their relationships. We envision graduates who are assets to their families, their ummah, and the broader society.
