A Reward, and Your Effort Has Been Appreciated: Surah Al-Insan's Closing Encouragement

Every student at Darus Saulieghien Quraan Academy has moments of effort that pass unnoticed by classmates or even teachers, a temptation resisted quietly, a portion revised alone. Surah Al-Insan describes exactly what happens to that effort.

A Description Beyond This World

The surah paints a picture of Paradise's abundance, vessels of silver, cups clear as glass, springs flowing without end, comfort with nothing diminished by fear or loss. Then comes the line that gathers all of it together:

إِنَّ هَـٰذَا كَانَ لَكُمْ جَزَآءً وَكَانَ سَعْيُكُم مَّشْكُورًا
"[And it will be said], "Indeed, this is for you a reward, and your effort has been appreciated."" (Surah Al-Insan 76:22)

Effort Seen Even When People Never Noticed

Many acts of obedience pass without recognition in this life, the prayer performed unseen, the temptation resisted in private, the tears shed in du'a. People may forget these moments. Allah (SWT) never does. The Prophet (SAW) relayed Allah's own words: "I have prepared for My righteous servants what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and what has never crossed the heart of any human being." (Sahih al-Bukhari 3244; Sahih Muslim 2824)

What We Hope Our Students Remember

When a student's hard work goes unpraised by anyone around them, we hope they remember this ayah, that Allah (SWT) Himself acknowledges what no one else saw. That acknowledgement is worth more than any recognition this world could offer.

May Allah (SWT) tell each of our students, in the way only He can, that their striving has been appreciated. Ameen.
