Closing our reflection on Surah As-Sajdah with 32:25-30 - the surah's final lesson on trusting Allah's timing rather than forcing an outcome.
Parents at Darus Saulieghien Quraan Academy sometimes ask when their child's Hifz journey will be complete, and the honest answer is always the same: in Allah's timing, not ours. Surah As-Sajdah closes with exactly this lesson.
A Question Rooted in Impatience
Despite every sign presented throughout the surah, some continued to ask when judgment would finally arrive. The surah's closing instruction is striking:
فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ وَٱنتَظِرْ إِنَّهُم مُّنتَظِرُونَ
"So turn away from them and wait. Indeed, they are waiting." (Surah As-Sajdah 32:30)
Not every matter needs to be resolved immediately, and not every outcome needs to be forced. The prophets themselves fulfilled their responsibility and entrusted the result to Allah (SWT).
Rain on Dead Land, a Sign of Renewal
The surah also points to rain falling on lifeless earth, reviving it, a recurring reminder throughout the Qur'an of Allah's power to bring life after apparent lifelessness, and a sign of His ability to fulfil every promise in His own time.
The Prophet (SAW) said: "Know that victory comes with patience, relief comes with hardship, and ease comes with difficulty." (40 Hadith an-Nawawi, 19)
What Ends the Surah, and What We Take From It
Surah As-Sajdah began with humility before revelation and ends with trust in Allah's timing. Between those two points lies everything a believer needs: humility, reflection, sincerity, patience, and certainty. We hope our students carry this same trust through every slow stretch of their own journey.
