After salah is a time when dua is hoped to be answered. Come with one specific ask, not a general one.
Most of us make dua in general terms. "Make everything easy" is a good dua, but the heart holds on to specifics.
The Prophet ﷺ was asked which dua is most likely to be answered. He said: the last part of the night, and after the obligatory prayers. (Sunan at-Tirmidhi)
A Dua Worth Keeping
He ﷺ also took the hand of Mu'adh ibn Jabal (RA) and told him never to leave this dua after any prayer:
اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنِّي عَلَى ذِكْرِكَ وَشُكْرِكَ وَحُسْنِ عِبَادَتِكَ
"O Allah, help me to remember You, to thank You, and to worship You well." (Sunan Abi Dawud, Sunan an-Nasa'i)
Take Home
After your next salah, make one specific ask. Name it clearly, say it in your own words, and say it again tomorrow. Start with the dua above and add one request of your own.
