Ihsan is not something reserved for the rare, dramatic act of worship. At Darus Saulieghien Quraan Academy, we teach our students that it is a lens for every ordinary moment, a page of revision, a kind word, a task done with care rather than carelessness.
Allah Loves the Muhsineen
Allah (SWT) says:
وَأَحْسِنُوٓا۟ ۛ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
"And do good; indeed, Allah loves the doers of good." (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:195)
Allah (SWT) does not burden us with perfection, only sincere effort, presence, and intention. The Prophet (SAW) said, "Indeed, Allah loves that when one of you does a deed, he does it with excellence." (Reported by al-Tabarani) Whether organising work, helping a classmate, or speaking gently to someone who misunderstands, Allah (SWT) loves for every deed to carry this quality.
Rising, Not Perfecting
We remind our students that falling short does not remove them from this path. Ihsan means rising with humility and recommitting with hope, not demanding flawlessness from oneself before trying again.
May Allah (SWT) make the best part of our students' lives its ending, and the last of their deeds those that earn His pleasure. Ameen.
