Already Written, Never Missed: Trusting Allah's Provision

25 December 2026

A reflection on Surah Hud 11:6 - how worry about provision does not change the decree, only weakens the heart carrying it.

Financial worry touches many of the families we serve at Darus Saulieghien Quraan Academy, and it is a burden the Qur'an speaks to directly and reassuringly.

No Creature Without Guaranteed Provision

"And there is no creature on earth but that upon Allāh is its provision, and He knows its place of dwelling and place of storage. All is in a clear register." (Hud 11:6)

Before we ever worried, Allah (SWT) had already written what would reach us, when, and how. Worry does not change the decree; it only weakens the heart that carries it.

The Prophet (SAW) said, "If you were to rely on Allah as He truly deserves, He would provide for you as He provides for the birds, they go out hungry in the morning and return full in the evening." (Sunan al-Tirmidhi 2344) The birds still leave their nests; they move with hope, not paralysis.

Provision Beyond Money

Rizq is not only wealth. It includes peace, companionship, guidance, and strength. Some people have money but no tranquility; others have little yet sleep in contentment. True provision nourishes the soul as much as the body.

Another hadith reminds us: "No soul will die until it has received its provision in full, even if it is slow in coming. So fear Allah and seek provision in a good way." (Sunan Ibn Majah 2144)

What We Try to Reassure Our Families

We are commanded to tie the camel, to act sensibly and work hard, but not to make the rain fall by our own effort alone. What is written for a family will never miss them.

May Allah (SWT) ease every worry our families carry about provision, and may He grant them contentment with what He has already written for them. Ameen.
