Following its challenge to search creation for a flaw, Surah Al-Mulk describes exactly what happens when that search is carried out honestly.
A Search That Comes Back Empty
Allah (SWT) says:
ثُمَّ ٱرْجِعِ ٱلْبَصَرَ كَرَّتَيْنِ يَنقَلِبْ إِلَيْكَ ٱلْبَصَرُ خَاسِئًا وَهُوَ حَسِيرٌ
"Then return [your] vision twice again.1 [Your] vision will return to you humbled while it is fatigued." (Surah Al-Mulk 67:4)
Every inspection returns humbled, exhausted, unable to find fault. This is not a failure of the eye; it is proof of the Creator's perfect knowledge and wisdom.
Certainty Built Through Repetition
Faith is not meant to rest on a single glance. Knowledge and certainty require continuous study and observation, the same principle behind revision in Hifz itself, where a page understood once is not the same as a page truly secured through repeated engagement. We encourage our students to make this kind of reflective observation, not just memorisation, part of their daily routine.
