As we close this short series on preparing our hearts for Ramadan, it is fitting to return to where the Qur'an itself began: not a story or a law, but a single command. At Darus Saulieghien Quraan Academy, that command shapes everything we do.
The First Word Revealed
ٱقْرَأْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ١
"Recite in the name of your Lord who created." (Surah Al-Alaq 96:1)
The very first revelation to the Prophet (SAW) was not a description of belief or a set of rules, but an instruction to read, or recite, done "in the name of your Lord." Even the most fundamental act of learning is framed here as an act of worship when it begins with Allah's (SWT) name.
Carrying the Habit Into Ramadan
This is the note we hope our students, and every reader of this series, carries into Ramadan: that reading and reciting the Qur'an should never be a habit that starts and stops with the month, but one grounded, from its very first revealed word, in the name of the Lord who created us.
Self-development, tazkiyah, discipline, all of it traces back to this same starting point: turning to Allah's (SWT) words, in His name, again and again.
May Allah (SWT) make the recitation and study of His Book a lifelong habit for our students, beginning now and carried well beyond this Ramadan. Ameen.
