At Darus Saulieghien Quraan Academy, we believe in fostering creativity and critical thinking from a young age. Recently, our Grade 1 learners embarked on an exciting journey of exploration and imagination through their 3D Habitat Projects. This hands-on activity allowed them to design and build their own unique habitats, showcasing not only their creativity but also their growing understanding of the world around them.
A Showcase of Creativity and Innovation
The 3D Habitat Project was a chance for our learners to let their imaginations run wild. Each student was tasked with designing and constructing a habitat of their choice. The results were nothing short of amazing!
Some learners chose to build houses, adding intricate details to show their understanding of structure and shelter. Others created traditional huts, highlighting cultural elements and unique architectural styles. A few even took inspiration from their surroundings and built models of the DSQA building, showing their connection to our madrassah.
One particularly heartwarming project was a favorite holiday place, reflecting the personal joy and relaxation these young minds associate with special environments.
Learning Through Hands-On Experience

This project was more than just a creative exercise; it was an opportunity for our learners to develop essential skills:
- Problem-Solving: Figuring out how to design and build stable structures.
- Fine Motor Skills: Carefully assembling their projects with precision.
- Collaboration: Many worked with peers and parents to brainstorm and bring their ideas to life.
- Environmental Awareness: Understanding how different habitats serve unique purposes and support life.

Proud Moments for Learners and Parents
The culmination of the project was a showcase event where learners proudly presented their creations to their classmates and teachers. The joy and sense of accomplishment on their faces were truly heartwarming. Parents played a crucial role in supporting their children throughout this journey, and we thank them for their involvement and encouragement.

Nurturing Future Innovators
At DSQA, we strive to create a balanced learning environment where Islamic teachings meet academic excellence and creativity. Projects like these not only spark innovation but also instill confidence in our learners.
Our Grade 1 learners have shown us that with guidance, support, and a little imagination, they are capable of great things. They are future problem-solvers, builders, and leaders, in-shaa-Allah!
Conclusion
We are immensely proud of our Grade 1 learners for their hard work and creativity in completing their 3D Habitat Projects. They have demonstrated the values of perseverance, teamwork, and innovative thinking, all while having fun along the way.
May Allah (SWT) continue to bless our learners with curiosity and the ability to explore His creation with wonder and gratitude. Ameen.
